Important Considerations
What you need to know before starting your kitchen remodel
Living During Remodel
Your kitchen will be unusable for 2-3 weeks during peak construction. We recommend setting up a temporary kitchen in another room with microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Many clients eat out more during this period.
Dust & Noise Management
Despite plastic barriers, some dust will escape. We vacuum daily and use air scrubbers when possible. Construction noise typically runs 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM weekdays. We respect your home and neighbors.
Timeline Variables
While 20 days is typical, timelines can extend due to: custom cabinet lead times (6-8 weeks), stone slab availability, permit delays, discovery of unexpected issues (plumbing, electrical, structural), or change orders requested mid-project.
Design Decisions Timing
All major decisions (cabinet style, countertop, flooring, backsplash, paint colors, hardware) must be finalized BEFORE demolition starts. Changes after work begins cause delays and added costs.
